Marengo Community High School has scheduled Parent/Teacher Conferences on Wednesday October 22nd and Thursday October 23rd from 12:30 to 8:00 p.m. We have expanded our conferences to two evenings to better accommodate the schedules of our families. During these times, parents can pick up their student's 1st Quarter Report Card, meet with teachers, and talk with their guidance counselor. Additionally, individual student achievement data will be available from the October 5th practice PLAN and ACT tests. »

A Note from Assistant Principal Mrs. Nieves: Football Game Expectations

Cool Weather. Joe's Pizza. The National Anthem. Friday Night Lights. A Sea of Maroon. There really is nothing like Friday night football games. Our first game certainly was exciting enough, but Saturday day games just do not have the same feel as those that are played when the air is crisp and the lights are shining.

Often, Friday night football games are a community tradition. People turn out in droves to support the team, watch the band, cheer with the cheerleaders, and meet with one another in a social setting. All of us have our own memories of our high school football games, too. Let's face it: high school football games are FUN, regardless of the numbers on the scoreboard. »

Mrs. Rubel's Math Dinner

On Wednesday, September 17th, the Foundations of Algebra and Geometry class, taught by Mrs. Judy Rubel, celebrated their love for math at a district sponsored dinner. Students and their families enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner from 7 to 9p.m. Parents came to start the year-off with their support to their children and their education. With all the families that were represented, everyone should have a successful year at MCHS! »


Marengo Community High School hosted a Veterans' Day Program on Thursday, November 6th at 9:00 in the gymnasium. Veterans and their families were invited to attend. Students from Locust Elementary, Marengo Middle, Riley, Zion Lutheran and Marengo Community High School participated in the program. Featured speaker Secretary of State Jesse White spoke with students at a reception following the program. »
