The MCHS Board of Education approved the formation of the MCHS Hall of Fame in the spring of 2011. The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to honor and recognize Marengo students, staff members, teams and supporters who have demonstrated excellence and commitment. Inductees are chosen by a selection committee of ten people, including MCHS staff, Board members and community members. Inductees are chosen from one of the following categories: Service, Personal Achievement, Extra-Curricular Achievement, Commitment, Friend of Marengo and Teamwork. CTE heads to Chicago for the International Manufacturing Technology Show

On Friday, September 12, the Career and Technical Education department at MCHS took 109 students to Chicago for the 30th International Manufacturing Technology Show at McCormick Place. Fall Open House a Huge Success

Over 650 parents and students attended the Aug. 27th Fall Open House. Parents heard about how to access the parent portal of the new student management system which allows parents to access their child's homework, attendance, grades and other school information. »

Class of 2014 ACT Scores

MCHS received the official notification of the graduating Class of 2014ís final ACT scores. We are proud to announce that the final ACT Composite average score was 21.8 compared to the State Composite average score of 20.7. The Class of 2014 had the second highest ACT Composite average in the history of the school. The Class of 2014 also had 12 students 0r 8% of the class with a score of 30 or higher on the ACT. MCHS Indians Football

The MCHS Indians football posted a solid 45-28 victory over state ranked Byron in a rain delayed home opener to the 2014 season. The MCHS offense threatened to score nearly every time it touched the ball and the defense held a heavily senior laden team to only 14 points with the remaining points coming off of turnovers.
